Chlorella virus DNA Ligase라고도 불리는 PBCV-1 DNA Ligase는 bridging template RNA strand에 annealing된 two nicked single-stranded DNA의 ligation을 매개한다. 특히, 5′-phosphate-terminated strand와 3′-hydroxylterminated strand를 갖는 DNA를 ligation할 수 있다. 이 활성을 이용하여 SNP 혹은 RASL-seq에 적용할 수 있다.
